SUNWAH PEARL EYE HEALTH WORKSHOP - A GREAT SUCCESS!

On Sunday, October 6, 2024, American Eye Center successfully hosted a free eye check-up event for Sunwah Pearl residents at the co-working room, 6th-floor, Sunwah Pearl Apartment .

The event attracted many residents, from children to adults, all eager to improve their eye health and learn about eye care.

The event included comprehensive eye check-ups such as:

• Vision screening
• Eyelid check
• Dry eye, allergy, and conjunctivitis screening
• Cataract, strabismus, and amblyopia screenings

Health Talk:
Topic: Kids Eye Care & Myopia Prevention by Dr. Kelvin Wong - an ophthalmology specialist with over 20 years of experience, trained in the UK. The talk provided valuable insights for parents on protecting their children’s vision.

• Post- graduate qualifications MRCOpth (Lon) and MRCS (Ed)
• Medical Retina and Uveitis subspecialty training, Tenant Eye Institute, Glasgow, Scotland, UK

• Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, FRCS (Ed)
• Fluent in 6 languages: English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Malay
